Batman - Exclusive Original Television Soundtrack Album
I've always enjoyed superheroes. I remember watching Spider-Man and Friends nearly every week, wondering what villain Spidey, Firestar, and Ice Man would face. Another mainstay of my childhood cartoon schedule was Super Friends, featuring the DC Comic stars Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and Flash. And of course, who could forget the classic
1966 Batman series, starring Adam West and Burt Ward? Those were classics, I tell you! Here's an awesome album that was put out in 1966 featuring some of the score of that television program. The theme song was by Neil Hefti, and is the first cut on this album, but the rest is by a man named Nelson Riddle and it also features short snippets of dialogue by the original cast.
To the best of my knowledge, this particular release is no longer in print nor was it ever released in CD format. Thus, I have no qualms about posting it here on the blog. If you find it is in print, and can give me a link to prove that it is, I will remove it without delay. Until then, download it and enjoy it!MEGAUPLOAD LINK: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PBV2XGY5
And if you're into the comic-book-heroes-turned-movie-stars like me, check out this trailer for a fan film about the Boy Wonder seeking to avenge his mentor's death...
And if you happened to pass over this link mentioned above (the 1966 Batman fansite), click on it whether you are a fan or not. This must be the greatest fansite in the world...regardless of the subject.
