Subject: [HELP_GROUP] Re: Need help with basic RS uploading...first time!

[MODERATOR's NOTE: Aki, go to the MESSAGES section of the Group's Yahoo page and search for Image Grabber. No, RS will not create screen caps for you. Image Grabber will. This has been covered 20,000 times in this group. There are also text files in the FILES area which you should have read which cover this. On download points, read again what Carabalda wrote - you RECEIVE points when OTHER PEOPLE download YOUR files under certain conditions. I can't see what could be clearer than that. Brian]

THANKS, CARABALDA!!! NOW, PLEASE DON'T GET MAD. I DON'T UNDERSTAND
TWO THINGS. YOU WROTE:

"You add a link for screen caps exactly the same way as you add a
link for a split file or a full video file... you must UPLOAD the
screen cap JPG file to Rapidshare. You'll get a link for this one
single JPG just like you'd get a link for a zip file or an HJSplit
file."

OKAY, SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANY SCREEN-CAPS FOR MY VIDS, WILL RAPIDSHARE
CREATE A PAGE OF SCREEN-CAPS FOR ME (RANDOMLY SELECTING PHOTOS FROM
THE VID, I ASSUME). IF NOT, HOW DO I MAKE A SCREEN-CAPS PAGE?

"You ONLY get points for your uploaded files IF someone downloads
them, and the 3 restrictions must be met: 1) the downloader MUST be a
Free user; 2) your file MUST be over 1 MB; and 3) the downloading
Free user MUST have generated FEWER THAN 5 points withing the past
hour. If NOBODY downloads your file, you will get NO points. If ONLY
Premium users download your file, you will get NO points...
etc. "Points" have to do with the downloading of your files, NOT with
the uploading of them."

HUH?! I THOUGHT THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF SHARING VIDS WAS THAT YOU COULD
GET POINTS FOR UPLOADING THEM, AND THUS EXTEND YOUR RAPIDSHARE
ACCOUNT! YOU SAY THAT POINTS HAVE TO DO WITH DOWNLOADING OF MY
FILES...WELL, HOW EXACTLY DO I EARN POINTS IF I DOWNLOAD VIDS? I'VE
DOWNLOADED MANY OVER THE LAST FEW MONTHS BUT HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY
POINTS.

THANKS...PLEASE BE PATIENT AND KIND...I DO APPRECIATE YOUR TIME AND
EXPLANATIONS!!
