Portal is sci-fi first person perspective puzzle game developed by the Valve Corporation and marketed collectively by the Valve Corporation and Electronic Arts. The game comes bundled in the The Orange Box package. It comes in single player mode only. Portal can be played on Windows, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. All of the three versions of Portal comes packed in the The Orange Box. However you can download the windows version separately through Steam, a Valve’s game delivery system. In Portal, player plays as the “Chell” from the first person perspective whose aim is to solve the puzzles through teleporting and portal gun by going through series of rooms. . Portal Gun is the Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device that creates two portal ends; Orange and Blue. Object entering through the one portal will exit through the other. The AI character named GLaDOS (Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System) challenges the player throughout the Portal game. Portal is very much similar to Narbacular Drop. Even the game is designed by the team that comprised many of the Narbacular Drop members.

The plot is set in the Aperture Science Laboratory who creates Handheld Portal Device. Portal features only two characters; the Chell and the GLaDOS. In return to compete with GLaDOS, Chell is promised a piece of cake. In fact, game looks so real that no one can tell between if he is playing the Portal game or viewing scenario in live. The AI used is marvelous and the graphics are mind blowing. Portal is the most successful game of the The Orange Box package. The game has got acclamation for it’s out of league game play. Only drawback with the Portal is that it is very short game. But despite being a short game, it is one of the original games that were released in the 2007.
