Meccaa Laalaa, a pretty student in Sydney, Australia sees herself as a good
Muslim and a good Australian. She's the first devout Muslim woman to try to
become a lifeguard - wearing a full length 'burqini'. A year after riots
between Muslim gangs and white youths, Meccaa and other moderate Lebanese
want to change the image of Muslims on the beach. The surf is fierce, the
pressure to pass the demanding test intense - all in the glare of world
media. But there's a catch - Meccaa's not a swimmer. If she passes, she'll
be a world famous role model for Muslim integration. If she fails she lets
her community down.
